Introduction
PRO-CON with an annual turnover
exceeding R200 million per
annum, is effectively a
logistics marketing organisation
and its corporate business is to
provide logistic solutions to
targeted customers in
sub-Saharan Africa. As a
subsidiary of Imperial Transport
Holdings,
PRO-CON
is the selected company within
the group to represent its cross
border business interests. It
follows that
PRO-CON’s marketing
and operational needs and
infrastructure has to reflect
that intent. The total revenue
is achieved through income
generated from exports and
imports from, to or via South
Africa and within sub-Saharan
Africa.
Focus.
The sub-Saharan economies
consist of industries which
range from manufacturers of
primary products to high-tech
electronic components and
speciality chemicals, as well as
producers and traders in ores
grains, foodstuffs and so on.
Logistics related to exports and
imports are strategic for some
and opportunistic for others.
Our mission is to pursue the
opportunities that lie in those
industries where exports or
imports are key to their
business strategy.
Skills
and Knowledge
PRO-CON
has, over the past three
decades, acquired knowledge and
understanding of the business
climates in which we operate.
This includes an understanding
of all the complexities of the
socio- economic environment, the
statutory needs and the specific
business detail of the various
industries in those territories.
Business Structure
The structure reflects how we
achieve that knowledge and skill
and convert it into providing
profitable logistics support.
With three strategic business
units, we have a stated mission
to understand and convert into
profit the opportunities within
the following sectors of
international business:
-
Agricultural
products,

and

plastics,
paper
packaging and their

materials.
